5 out of 5 stars Amazing Flash!   January 8, 2009
I was thinking about buying the SB-800 but a friend talked me into getting the SB-600 instead and I'm glad he did. This flash does everything that I need and more. If your thinking about getting an SB-800, save your money and get the SB-600 instead. The SB-600 is a fantastic flash and you will not be disapointed.

5 out of 5 stars Nikon SB-600 flash   January 8, 2009
Awesome flash unit. Better than I expected. Very pleased with the bounce flash results.

5 out of 5 stars amazing   January 7, 2009
I can't put into words how amazing this flash is. This speedlight will change your photography for the better almost instantly. The only downside is that is quite intimidating at first, as it is very advanced (but this is a good thing). If you have a D80 or above (maybe D70, but Im not sure) you can run this flash wirelessly on command mode which will take your photos to a new level.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Choice   January 7, 2009
For the current amazon price (as of Dec 2008) this flash will is certainly going to improve your pictures.

Just the capacity to be able to tilt and rotate the flash in many directions will help you achieve better lighting in your pictures.

Then there is the added feature of using it remotely, while using the camera as a commander (mine is a D90, but D80, and the higher up models do it too). With a little creativity on flash placing you can have lots of fun with very very simple set-up. It will only take a few seconds to have it working remotely.

Also some of my friends have Nikon cameras and sb-600's so we usually share these in case we want to; as it is very simple and easy to control many flashes from the camera.

Great Flash for a great price I think.

5 out of 5 stars What A Difference   January 6, 2009
Yes, the flash comes with a manual but what a difference. Without it I was getting red eye, just put the flash on and red eye is gone. I was even able to take a picture of something behind glass by bouncing it slightly. I have just begun to discover all that it can do.
