I'm sure the cable would work well if only I had the right part on my computer December 24, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Before you purchase this product make sure your computer can take the 4 pin format. Neither my old computer nor my new computer are able to work with this cord - thus rendering it impossible for me to upload from my Sony ZR500. Not a pretty picture.
Upload Videos from Camera to the PC with Firewire Cable December 22, 2008 After accumulating hundreds of hours of Videos from my daughters video camera I decided to finally get orgainized. I spent hours and accumulated thousands of frustration units, trying to figure out how to get the movies to my PC with the USB cable that came with the Canon camera. Finally I read a review on a geek site that led me to the need for a Firewire. Amazon Dot Com sent it promptly, as expected. When I tried to plug it in, I realized that my PC did not have a Firewire card and slot. Bummer. So I got a card at the local PC store, installed it within minutes. I plugged in the Firewire in the Camera and my newly purchased slot. --Finally in a matter of seconds, I read the releaving message on my screen: TO DOWNLOAD VIDEO, PRESS OK. - Magic - .
Very good September 30, 2008 it worked like a charm. Very useful and very supportive. It works very well for Sony Vegas and you can get the best quality for your mini dv camera, no strings attached.
Very Satisfied with this cable September 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I couldn't of been happier with this cable. The one I received was nicer than the one shown, it was exactly what I needed and at a greatly reduced price. I looked all over town and could find one even went to the JVC online store not there. This is the best can't beat the price. Don't understand why they don't include this cable with the camera but on well. I recommend you don't look further get it now.
Just what was needed September 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My JVC camcorder would absolutely not "talk" to my computer before acquiring this firewire. The product was unbelievably inexpensive, came quickly, and was exactly and precisely what was needed. What's not to love!
