 Great Case October 18, 2008
The Sony carrying case is great for carrying small electronics like video cameras. It is spacious with enough room to carry equipment, wires and batteries (if the equipment isn't huge). We can fit our video camera, digital camera, wires for both and cell phones, extra cards and tapes and tons of batteries! Great for traveling!
Extremely Useful - Must have March 28, 2008
I bought this product with little skeptmism, since my earlier carrybags that I got for Canon Powershot S1IS (3 years back) was either too small or too big. So when I saw this as a recommended accessory, was not quite sure. But once I had this product in hand, I knew for sure I did not make mistake.
I have been using it for over a month, and it perfectly fits for my Sony DCR-SR200 camcorder, along with the base station. I keep my extra battery and its external charger. This also accomodates all the hardwires, and guess what? I still have more space. The bag is extremely soft inside.
The only complain I have is the external clip. Feels very thin, but so far works good. So no trouble.
Otherwise this is a must for all.
Great case for most all compact DV and DVD cameras January 17, 2008
Although I recently bought a new in-the-box older model Sony DVD recorder, I looked carefully at the available soft cases currently marketed and was pleasantly surprised to find that this model would accommodate most all of the consumer DV, DVD, and HD models made within the past 3 years. Not only does it have room for the camera, but the adjustable-width compartments allow plenty of room for an extra battery, the charger, computer connectors, all cords, the user manual, 10 Mini-DVD disks (in the two end pockets, and a little bit of space left over (maybe another battery?). Surprisingly, the case is reasonable small and lightweight. The only improvement would be the shoulder strap. Although adequate in width, the material used on the underside against your shoulder allows it to slide. The only safe way to carry the bag would be over the head-resting on the opposite shoulder. I would recommend getting one of the "rubberized" slip-overs to eliminate the problem. Otherwise the Amazon price including shipping was about 30% less than the same bag in one of the large box electronics stores.

It's a huge bag, its not really made for tiny camcorders, you can fit all the accesories and still have space. It's not made for comfort, it's made for putting everything in there.
I wouldn't go around carrying it, it looks awfully big and you might look like a dork, try to find something tinier for your camera.

Sony LCSVA31 is very much handy and more spacious for my digi cam 40 GB SONY DCR-SR200. I am able to keep all the stuff inside the case incl. my Digi cam and even my SONY PSP device.
